Peacefully at Whisperwood Villa on Friday, March 20, 2009, of Mrs. Edna (nee Gallant) MacLean of Charlottetown, age 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerald MacLean and dear mother of Zelda Rafuse. Also survived by nine loving grandchildren; sisters Marie Conrod, Anne Bruce and her brother Bob Gallant. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Alice (nee Jones) Gallant; her children Maida Dykens, Lorne MacLean and Duke MacLean; granddaughter Amy Eileen MacLean; brothers Jed and Harold Gallant. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Interment at a later date in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of P.E.I. or the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
