(age 82) Passed peacefully away, surrounded by loved ones at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, August 29, 2008. Sheila was born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies, came to Canada in 1956, working with Canadian Pacific Airlines for 35 years in Vancouver. She retired to Newfoundland in 1982 where she lived happily, still traveling and enjoying working in the garden and feeding the birds. Left to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are her devoted friend of 40 years, Gertrude Andrews and her beloved family, sisters, Elsa and Marjorie in Trinidad, Grace (Allan) Bereyowski, Calgary and brothers Lewis in Trinidad, Carlo (Jean) and Frank (Flossie) USA, as well as many nieces, nephews and a circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, August 31 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and Monday September 1, 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday September 2 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
