SPATE - Theodore Marvin Spate of Morse, SK, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the age of 72. Ted was born on the Spate family farm on September 22, 1936. He was schooled at the Wildflower Country School. He married Myrna Joan Glydon in 1963 and they farmed together until Myrna’s passing in 1976. They had three children: Brenda (Michael Charabin) and their family: Gregory, and Scott of North Battleford; Colleen (Wes Healey) and their family: Ashley, and Tyson of Eston; and Jason (Kris Horvath) and their family: Dawson, and Topanga of Morse. Ted will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by sister, Irene Binner of Moose Jaw and brother-in-law, Kelvin (Orla Mae) Glydon of Morse; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Christian and Marie, sister, Margaret and brothers-in-law, Frank and Wilfred. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the Morse Community Hall. Larry Redekopp officiated. Interment followed at the Morse Cemetery.
