At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, March 23, 2009, of Peter Emmett Saunders of Charlottetown, age 88 years. Husband of Joy (nee MacDonald). Father of Teresa Bell (Wayne), Noël Saunders, Gail Gillis (Kenneth), Robin Saunders. Grandfather of David Bell (Melanie Jackson), Lindsey and Dylan Gillis, Ashley and Courtney Saunders and great-grandfather of Cody Saunders. Brother of Katherine Legere (Arthur, deceased). Brother-in-law of Beulah Saunders. Lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John Robert and Bridget Anne (O’Meara) Saunders and by his brothers and sisters Stephen, Marion Donnelle (Amedie), Gladys Bulger (Peter), Cecil Saunders, William, John, and Leo (Rita). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
