The death occurred with his family by his side at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, N.S., on Sunday, March 22, 2009, of Milton Davidson Shaw of Kensington and formerly of North Enmore, P.E.I., aged 61 years. Milton was born on Feb. 1, 1948, in Mount Pleasant, P.E.I., to his late parents, William and Pearl (nee McArthur) Shaw. Beloved husband of Leona (nee Gallant) Shaw. Loving father of Mary Shaw-Myers, Augustine “Gus,” Charles and Jason all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brother, Alfred (Evelyn), and his sisters, Lillian (Everett) Coughlin and Amy (Garfield) McArthur. Besides his parents, Milton was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Bertram, Kenneth, Georgina Culleton, Bertha Bridges and James in infancy. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, March 26, where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the Nazarene Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations in Milton’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
