The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, March 23, 2009, of “Claire” Mary Huestis (nee Perry) of Summerside, aged 73 years. Claire was born on Jan. 13, 1936, in Summerside, P.E.I. to her late parents, Arthur and Eileen (nee Poirier) Perry. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Huestis and loving mother of James (Theresa) of Halifax, N.S., Alex ( Jane ) of Innsville, Ont., Harold (Trish) of Innsville, Ont., and Eldon of Mississauga, Ont. Also lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Ensor, David, Bonita, Wilfred, Robert ,Marjorie, Jean and Tina. Besides her parents and her husband, Claire was predeceased by her sisters, Una and Marie. By family request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A committal service will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche at a later date. Memorial donations in Claire’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside.
