Passed peacefully away at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre, Buchans, Sunday, March 22, 2009, surrounded by love and family, Emma L. Boone of Buchans, aged 87 years. She is predeceased by husband Joseph, Nov.. 7, 1970, grandson, Douglas Tilley (May 5, 1989), parents Ben and Rebecca and her sister Laura. Leaving to mourn her sad loss are daughters: Mae (Peter Brockie), Buchans, Ethel (Charles Tilley), Cambridge, Ont., and Lorna (Ern Noseworthy), Buchans, with whom she resided until she became a resident at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre, 22 months ago (her Home away from Home). Also mourning her great loss are grandsons: Keith Tilley (Yvonne), Ignace, Ont. and Robert Brockie (Catherine), Montreal and two great-grandsons: Josh and Jordan Tilley. She is also survived by her sisters: Edith Brazil and Mildred Pitts, both of Bell Island. Also remembered by brother-in-law Jordan (wife Lillian) Boone, Calgary, Alta. and many family and friends, and especially her extended family at the Health Centre. Emma will be resting at the St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Buchans, Monday, March 23rd, with the funeral service being held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 24th with Rev. Joan Antle officiating. Interment will follow at the Buchans Community Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be given to the Buchans Community Cemetery Fund or the St. John the Divine Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
