Corner Brook, N.L., May 13th, 1924 - March 22nd, 2009. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Laura Ethel Brinson announce her passing on Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Marie Trickett (Roy), Donald Brinson (Marie), Irene Brinson, Ruby Feltham (Charles), Betty Feltham (Eric), Marilyn Brinson, Lloyd Brinson (Karen) and Lisa Wicks (Walter), 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Robert Brinson, February 17th, 2002, parents John and Irene Powell, two great-grandchildren Janette and Janelle, sister Lillian Morris, brothers: Ecke Powell, Garland Powell and Robert Powell. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25th at 2 p.m. from All Saints‚ Anglican Church with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church Window Fund or to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
