Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Center, St. John's on Saturday, August 30, 2008, of Dunville, Placentia Bay, age 45 years. Predeceased by baby brother in 1958 and brother Bill in 2006. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Debbie, son and best buddy Gower, parents John and Gladys Brown, sisters Bernice Corners (Ken), Pam, Kim Mercer (Gene), mother in law Theresa Pitts, sisters-in-law Margaret Brown and Madeline Spurrell (Paddy), precious god child and nephew Jacob Mercer, great-nephew Ryan Greene. Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and very special friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. No visitation on Thursday morning. Funeral Mass at St. Anne's Church, Dunville on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeas Placentia. No flowers by request.
