It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great lady, Marggy Cox in her 82nd year at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility.
Marggy worked at Woolco for many years and retired just before the name was changed to Walmart. She was a well liked person who seemed to get along with almost everyone with whom she came in contact. She will be remembered for her love of music, dancing and especially her family — her greatest love. She loved the times she spent with all of her 10 brothers and sisters; especially Sara who was her best friend.
Marggy leaves behind her three children, whom she loved dearly, Billy Alberta, Michele, New Brunswick and Donald, Sydney, N.S. She is also survived by her sister, Sara and two grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew, both of Alberta, whom she loved very much.
She was predeceased by brothers, Fr. Neil, John, Al, Donald, Gordie; sisters, Nora, Mary, Veronica and Gladys.
Marggy will be missed by all the friends she made while living in Harbourstone Enhanced Care, where she was given the greatest care in the last years of her life.
We would like to thank all the great nurses and LPNs of Miner’s Lane for all the great care and kindness that you have shown mom; she thought the world of you all.
We know she’s dancing up a storm with that big smile and the big bellowing laugh that we all loved and cherished.
“We love you mom, you will be in our thoughts the rest of our days.”
There will be no visitation/graveside service as per mom’s request.
She wanted everyone to remember her at a party, which will be held at a later date.
