It is with great sadness we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother and sister, Beatrice Andrews, age 86, a resident of Taigh Solas and formerly of Leitches Creek, on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in New Perlican, Nfld., Beatrice was the daughter of the late George and Eliza Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Darlene, North Sydney and one son, Edward John ‘Eddie’, Halifax; three grandsons, E.J., Julian and Kyle and one great-grandson Tyler; her loving sister, Margaret MacDonald, Sydney; several nieces and nephews. Beatrice will be missed by long time friends, Hughie and Lucy O’Handley, Glen and Mary Forrest, Donnie and Delores Davis, Frank Smith and Clara Beaton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward John Andrews and her brother, Melvin Smith.
Visitation for Beatrice will be held from 10-11 a.m. Thursday with funeral service following at 11 a.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney, with Rev. David Luker officiating.
