1920-2009
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, March 23, 2009, with his wife and children by his side, of Herman Angus Corcoran of Piusville, age 89 years. Beloved husband to Gerarda Mary (nee Shea) Corcoran. Born on February 20, 1920, he was the son of the late Thomas and Louisa (nee McLellan) Corcoran. Lovingly remembered by his children, Hermia (Roch) Venne, Cheryl (Emmett) Bradley, Pearlene (Bill) Schnitzler, Betty (Larry) Fenton, Anne (David) Armstrong, Mary (Ian) Gemmell, Carmel (Doug) Richards, Clare (Marty) Cole, Theresa (Tom) Corcoran, Shane (Wanda) Corcoran, Michael (Sylvia) Corcoran, Colleen (David) Bannon, Rodney (Donna) Corcoran. He is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Sheridian Corcoran of Maplewood Manor, Alberton, and a sister, Kay Green of Charlottetown. He was predeceased by daughters Kathleen and Rosa, a grandson, Meredydd, as well as a brother and sister, James and Mary Ellen McIsaac. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours commencing on Friday, March 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday morning, March 28, 2009, from St. Anthonys Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
