Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 23, 2009, Effie M. Pottle at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Harry G. (1974); daughter Audrey (1996) and brother Herb (1987). Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Ralph (Sheila), St. John’s, Fred (Betty) Goderich, Ont.; daughters: Linda Dyer (Johnny), Logy Bay, Judy Joniec (Adam), Oshawa, Ont., Sandra Eustace (Wayne), Torbay, Debbie Barnes (Merrill), Oshawa, Ont. and Audrey Foote (Don), Millbrook, Ont.; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Wallace Milley (Sharon), Goderich, Ont., Raymond Milley (Pearl), Burnt Point and Carson Milley (Emily), Goderich, Ont.; five sisters: Phyllis Ash (Carbonear), Ethel Wicks (Burnt Point), Elsie Jones (New Brunswick), Lillian Love (New Brunswick) and Leona Churchill (Topsail), as well as a large circle of friends and relatives and her many friends of the Caribou Legion Manor Apts. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
