RUSZKOWSKI – Stanley
Stan passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2009 with his granddaughter Jennie by his side. He had a full and active life. As a young man he served his term in the army. Upon returning, he married Phyllis Swain in 1947 and began farming until he retired in 2006. He was a dedicated and loving family man who welcomed his extended family into his heart with open arms. He enjoyed many sports, especially softball and curling. Above all, Stan was renowned for his card playing, finally being dealt the perfect hand in crib. He was a dedicated lifetime member of the Legion and felt honored to be a member of the color party on many occasions. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (June 1, 2002); his son Conrad (March 21, 1974) and his parents Marjian and Anna Ruszkowski. Stan will be sadly missed by his son Larry (Annette); grandchildren Jeff, Jennie, Holly (Jonathan) Dewhurst (Grace), Eldon (Michelle) Wilson (Brooke, Paige & Jaiden), Aaron (Janine) Wilson (Obsidian, Carter & Miller) and Brent Wilson; sisters Albina Major and Emily Bissky; brother Walter (Ann) Ruszkowski; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend and companion Mae Hoffman and her family.
