Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes in Gander on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Gerald and her son Gerald Howard, son-in-law John Burry, sisters Mabel Eveleigh, London Ont., Elizabeth Penney, St. John’s, NL, Olive Squires, brother Carson Squires of St. Philips, NL. Leaving to mourn her sons: Burnell (Shelley), London, Eng., Norman (Netta), Gander, NL, Frederick, Toronto, Ont.; daughters: Carole Nolan (Micheal), London, Ont., Patricia Tucker, Halifax, NS, Myrtle Burry, Courtney, BC; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as a number of friends and relatives. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday from 10-12, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral services will take place from St. Philip’s Anglican Church on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery.
