COOMBES, W. John - 78, of Parrsboro passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Infirmary Site (QEII), Halifax. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. John operated Parrsboro Plumbing and Heating for many years. He is survived by a son, Jason (Josie), Manchester, Mass.; step-daughter, Marilyn Winters (Donnie), Parrsboro; granddaughter, Kristen, Manchester, Mass.; step-grandchildren, Tim Babineau (Kim), Parrsboro; Tammy Hunter (Jim), Halifax; Jamie Babineau (Meghan), Calgary; step-great-grandchildren, Ben and Tasha Babineau, Parrsboro; Aiden and Cohen Babineau, Calgary; Alex Hunter, Waverley; nephew; Stephen Sullivan, Halifax. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Eileen Grint. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
