Marjorie Frost (Brooks)

With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister-in-law on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Extendicare at the age of 88. Marjorie is survived by three children; George (Eileen) and family, Ruth and family, and Richard. Marjorie was born in Huron Township Bruce County, Ontario, met and married Arthur Herbert Frost and moved to Komoka, Ontario. They eventually moved to Mitchellton, Saskatchewan to take over the Frost homestead. Marjorie was active in the United Church, the UCW, the Mitchellton Community Club, the Mossbank Community Band, the Mossbank Legion, and the Cosmo Centre. Mom loved sports and enjoyed bowling, lawn bowling, shuffleboard and watching her favourite teams the Dodgers and the Blue Jays. Mom also loved a good game of cards; from cribbage to whist to euchre to rummy. She was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles and game shows. A Memorial Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the CNIB, 2550 Broad St., Regina S4P 9Z9, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104 – 2301 Ave. C.,North, Saskatoon, S7L 5Z5, would be appreciated.
