Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on March 25, 2009, Catherine Lane, age 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Gerald, daughter Frances, parents Margaret and Patrick Broderick and brother Bernard. Leaving to mourn two sons: Michael, Toronto and David, Mount Pearl; sisters Madeline (Albert) Hammond, St. John’s, Laura Wheeler, British Columbia and Dorothy (John) Laite, Mount Pearl; brothers: Hughie (Jessie) Broderick, Toronto and Cyril (Roseann) Broderick, Toronto; sister-in-law Marina Broderick, St. John’s; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday, March 27th from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.
