Emma Ann Nutter, 86, former resident of Glace Bay, N.S., peacefully passed away after a prolonged illness on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Golden Living Center, Lexington, Massachusetts
She was the daughter of the late Allan J. and Elizabeth MacDonald, Glace Bay.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Judy Barrett, Stellarton, N.S.; grandson, Christian Barrett (Stephanie), Stellarton, N.S.; granddaughter, Erica Barrett-Mansavage (Andy), Indianapolis, Indiana; great-granddaughter, Hannah Barrett, Stellarton, N.S.; sisters, Margie McCumber and Josie MacGregor-Brown, both of Glace Bay.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Nutter; son, Allan; son-in-law, Dr. Bruce Barrett; sisters, Leanna Hart and Lillian Fowler and bothers, Allan, John, Roddie and Alfred MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 10 a.m. to noon at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, MA. Episcopal (Anglican) service and burial will take place following visitation. Emma will be laid to rest with her husband and son in Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton, MA.
