It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Ellis Ross Kelland on March 25, 2009 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.
Ellis was born in Newfoundland and was the son of the late Nora and Mark Kelland. Ellis was employed for 40 years at Devco and was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson, visiting the Casino, 45s card games and dancing.
Ellis is survived by his daughters, Wanda and Shauna; grandson, Kirk; sisters, Muriel Vokey, Ontario and Pauline, Glace Bay; brothers, Mark and Donald Kelland, both of Glace Bay.
Ellis was predeceased by his parents, Nora and Mark Kelland; brother, Charles and sister, Elizabeth Kelland.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
