Cynthia Kaye Hansford, 60, of Bark St., Pictou, passed away suddenly March 25, 2009, at home.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Melville and Rena (Ferguson) Hansford.
She had been a longtime seasonal employee of Gull Rock Seafoods, and for the last 12 years was employed with Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Surviving are daughters: Sherri (John Kilburn) Noel, Pictou; Elizabeth Gene Fortune, Kitchener, Ontario; Marie (Tracy) MacCarthy, Three Brooks; grandchildren: Danton and London, Nicholas and Meadow, and Megan; brothers, Mel (Marilyn), Randy (Wendy); sisters, Freda (Clarence) and Bonnie; uncle, Lowell (Jean) Ferguson; aunts, Lillian Clarke, and Elsie Ferguson, many cousins.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Monday from St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery.
