Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, St. John’s, Mary Patricia Gover, aged 87. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) in 1998, her brothers and sisters Alice, Patrick, Edward, Leo, Billy, Joe, Betty and Nonie and grandson Christopher Gover. Leaving to mourn with happy and loving memories are her sons and daughters and their families: John (Donna) St. John’s; Jerome (Rosemary) Labrador City; Geraldine Sinnott (Bill) St. John’s; Doreen Walsh (Pat) Mount Pearl; Andrea Leonard (Damian) Dartmouth NS; Wayne Edmonton Alta; Mary Paquette (Eric) Timmins Ont.; Sheila, Timmins, Ont.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. As well as brothers, Dinny (Esther) Paradise and Kevin (Marie) Goulds and her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Alf Sullivan (Mary) Goulds, Madeline Walsh and Rita Walsh, both of Paradise and her nephews and nieces and also her friends at St. Patrick’s Mercy home, 3 North, where she resided for two years. A very sincere thank you to all the staff, pastoral care team, and the medical staff of St. Pat’s for their compassionate care and support to Mary and her family. We will miss her stories about growing up on the farm in Donovans, Topsail Road and her years living on Oxen Pond Road. Resting at Caul’s Funeral home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass from St. Teresa’s church, Mundy pond Road on Thursday at 2 p.m. interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
