Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, March 28, 2009. In his 92nd year. Predeceased by his loving wife Jessie M. (Holloway), formerly of Bloomfield, parents Jeddiah and Albert Penney of Musgravetown, his son Wilbert of Morley Siding, sister Laura Matthews (Cerick) and brother Boyd (Tassie), sister-in-law Annie (Walter) Greening of Lethbridge, brother-in-law Lewis (Mildred) Holloway of Lethbridge, brother-in-law Whitfield (Mary) Holloway of Bloomfield. Left with fond and loving memories are son Boyd, wife Marilyn (Alexander) of Paradise, NL. Son Wilfred, wife Ellen (Burton) of Shoal Harbour, NL. Son Kenneth, wife Shirley (Warrick) of Clarenville, NL. Daughter-in-law Effie Payne of Morley Siding, NL. Sister Jean Payne of Mount Pearl, Margaret (Joseph Peddle) of Bloomfield, NL. Brother Clyde, wife Dorothy of Clarenville, NL. Sadly missed by grandchildren Kerry-Lynn (Sean) Bursey of Gatineau, Quebec, Christina of Paradise, Catherine of Toronto, Jamie of Calgary, Alberta and three great-grandchildren, Ryder, Reese and Riley and a large circle of relatives and friends. Remains will be resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Monday, March 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be 4 p.m. on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at the Memorial United Church, with interment at the old United Church Cemetery in Clarenville. In his memory, a donation may be made to the War Amps, Newfoundland and Labrador.
