Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2009, age 52 years, formerly of Freshwater and Port Royal, Placentia Bay. Leaving to mourn with fond and tender memories, her husband of 29 years, Cyril and daughters Colleen and Karen (Dennis Ryan), parents Gerard and Jennie McFarlane, brothers Brendan (Cecilia), Bill (Eleanor) and Henry, sisters Phyllis Bartlett (John), Bernadette McFarlane (Andrew Traverse), Anita Byrne (Gerry), and Wanda Martin(Maurice), mother-in-law and special nan Betty Spurvey, brothers-in-law Anthony (Irene Barbe), Bill (Hilda), sisters-in-law Carmelita Pittman (Phonse), and Jeanette Beazley (Guy), as well as 21 nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially Matt Spurvey and Florence (Greene) Lococo. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation on Monday, March 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater on Tuesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, South East at a later date.
