Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s home on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born 1920; professor of English at Memorial University from 1967-1985; a professional artist whose pictures of trees and children are memorable, and a veteran of the Second World War. Predeceased by her parents: Cecil Frank Miles-Cadman and Christiana; a brother Kennedy and sisters: Alyson and Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn two sisters in Durban, South Africa: Rose Miles-Cadman and Claire Glover (Lynton); nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews in England, South Africa and Australia; and special friends Faith and Pat in addition to her “adopted” children of the Balisch, Gardener, Roberts and Story families. At Margaret’s request, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Cremation to follow.
