Doris Marie (White) DeWolfe, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her family on April 1st, 2009, at the Halifax Infirmary, after a long and courageous battle with cardiovascular disease.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband and best friend, Tom DeWolfe; her family who loved her deeply and everyone who ever had the privilege to know her.
She was the loving mother to David, Heather and Paul (Janet) DeWolfe; a cherished grandmother and devoted great-grandmother.
She was the daughter of the late James White and Vina (White) Trefry; and is survived by her brother, Russell (Tanya) White and sister, Carol (Sandy) MacKinnon.
She was predeceased by her son, James Brian DeWolfe in infancy.
Doris was instantly loved by everyone who met her. A gentle and beautiful soul who gave her time to all who asked, gave hugs to many and displayed a kindness and grace that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Having run numerous successful business ventures, with her husband and partner Tom, her wonderful spirit was matched only by her astute business mind.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish Cemetery.
Flowers welcome, or donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
