Donna Katherine Matheson Aged 60, of Truro, passed away at home on Aug. 29, 2008, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of Lawrence Fife, Springhill and the late Elizabeth Ann (Keizer) Fife. Donna was an employee at Andre’s Wines in Truro for 30 years. A devoted mother and grandma, she treasured the time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Angus “Gus”; son Corey (Sarah); daughter Kathy (Scott) Rann; grandchildren Jake and Stella Rann; sisters Lorna (David) Tuffs and Rosalee Carmichael; sister-in-law Viny (Billy) MacRae; brother-in-law Terrance (Donna) Blackstone; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son Jason; sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Dale. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care given by Dr. John Henderson, Ann McKim and the VON staff. Visitation were held Sunday, Aug. 31, and funeral service were held Monday, Sept. 1, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Rev. Brian DeLong officiating.
