Kenneth Keith Pepperdine, 80, of Kenneth E. Spencer Nursing Home, Moncton, N.B., and formerly of Springhill, Cumberland Co., passed away peacefully in Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Monday, February 16, 2009. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late George and Rose (Brown) Pepperdine. He spent most of his life employed in the lumber and blueberry industries. He enjoyed cooking and doing housework. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are stepson, Ted L. Merrey, Salt Springs, Cumberland Co.; two step granddaughters and one step grandson; brother, Herbert Pepperdine of Springhill; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife, the former Brenda L. McMaster; sisters, Annie Cole, Alberta Schaffer and Ellen Bourgeois; brothers, Robert, Burrel, Trueman, Clarence, Baker and Raymond Pepperdine. Cremation has taken place at the request of the deceased. No visitation or funeral service. Committal and interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill at a later date, Pastor Rick C. Thomas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
