Kenneth White Passed away on Sun, Mar. 8, 2009, in Chilliwack, at the age of 72. He was born June 6, 1936, in Springhill. Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan White; his four children: Alf (Cindy), Hance (Kathy), Ken (Connie), Dawn (Ken) Therres; 13 grandchildren; eight-great-grandchildren, six brothers and one sister. Ken was in the Armed Forced for 25 years. After he retired he worked another 15 years as a civil servant. He loved hockey. He played, coached and was a dedicated fan of the game. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a down-homer at heart and loved to socialize. He would talk to anyone who had the time to listen. Ken loved to let out his frustrations on a golf ball. The ball, unfortunately, did not always go where he wanted it to go. All who knew him loved him, especially his dog, Jigs. A celebration of Ken’s life was held on Friday, Mach 13, at the Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
