Passed away in hospital, Pembrook, on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at the age of 91 years. Mel McKay of 1130 Victoria Street, Petawawa, husband of the late Ruth McKay (nee Adams). Dear father of Donnie McKay, (wife Gilda), Petawawa; Mary Jewkes, Petawawa; Elizabeth Lowther (husband Carman), Florida; Melvin McKay, Petawawa; and Charles McKay (wife Cathy), Petawawa. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Son of the late Lawrence and Eva McKay. Predeceased by brother Carl and Harry McKay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held a the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 517, Petawawa, on Friday, September 26.
