The death of Audrey Joyce Scott, 77, occurred peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008. Born in Sackville, she was the daughter of the late John and Viola (Phinney) Holmes of Midgic. A former employee of NBTel, she was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church, and a Lioness in Dorchester. She loved singing and sang with St. Edwards Church Choir, Mount A Choral Society, The Brunswick Belles in Sussex, barbershop groups, and the Shiretown Belles of Dorchester. She will be sadly missed by her son, Allison (Shirley) Scott, Roachville, N.B.; three daughters, Nancy (James) Stymiest, Tabinsintac, N.B., Tanya Dawn Dulenty and Melissa Mae Scott, both of B.C.; one sister, Mary Ellen Hicks, of Sackville; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Parker, John, Laurie, Douglas; a sister, Gloria, and twin sister Aileen. Her remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home in Sackville, from where visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 26. The funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 27 at the funeral home, with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial was in the Sackville Cemetery.
