Emeline Oulton

Emeline K. Oulton, daughter of the late George Wm. Foote and Mary Amelia (Randall) Foote, widow of the late Ralph George Oulton, passed away at her residence, the Drew Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Emeline was born on September 24, 1928 in Merigomish, Nova Scotia. Emeline, a trained nurse, worked in Montreal and Moncton previous to her marriage to Ralph in 1954, then worked with her husband on the Oulton Century Farm. She was a long time member of the Jolicure United Church and community. She will be fondly remembered by her four sons, Douglas (Pam) and Frank (Dianne), of Sackville, N.B., Philip (Lorna) of Truro, N.S., and Michael (Brent Wheeler) of Moncton, N.B.; foster daughter Elaine Bowser, Edmonton, Alta.; 10 grandchildren, Christian, Rebecca, Sarah, Nathan, Tuana, Tamika, Teona, Daniel, Colin, and Christine; two brothers, Fred (Eva), London, Ont., and Albert (Iris), Merigomish, N.S.; one sister, Alice (Jack) McKinley, Penniac, N.B.; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ralph, and their triplet son Frederick. Emeline’s remains were entrusted into the care and supervison of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009. A funeral service was held at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2009. Dr. Eldon Hay officiating.
