Sackville, N.B. - June (Allen) Best, age 69, of Westcock, N.B., passed away suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 27, 2007. Born in Timber River, N.B., on December 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Winston and Ella (Tower) Allen. June was a member of St. Ann's Anglican Church in Westcock, and volunteered with the ACW. She began working as a telephone operator in Port Elgin, N.B. and as an auditor at the T. Eaton Co. in Moncton, N.B. She was best known as a florist and businesswoman at the Flower Boutique, working alongside her husband Andrew. Following her retirement from business, she was a care-giver for the elderly, and spent her leisure time with her family and friends. June will be sadly missed by her husband of 37 years, Andrew Best of Westcock, N.B.; three sons, Eddie (Jackie) Cole of Sackville, N.B., Michael of Halifax, N.S. and Shawn (Shelby) of Collingwood, Ont.; sister Gloria (Tom) Steep of Durham Bridge, N.B.; sisters-in-law Marjorie in Sackville, N.S., Rheba in Linden, N.S.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Laurie R. Cole. Arrangements were entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from Campbell's on Monday, July 30, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 2 p.m. from St. Ann's Anglican Church in Westcock, N.B. Burial followed in the Westcock Cemetery. Donations in memory of June may be made to the Westcock Cemetery, St. Ann's Anglican Church Hall or to the charity of one's choice.
