DORCHESTER, N.B. – Lorna Marie Partridge passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, November 25, 2007, surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Bonar and Patricia (Hicks) Estabrooks. Lorna worked for David A. Close Accounting in Moncton and formerly at Enterprise Foundry, Enheat and Atlantic Wholesalers. A very devoted woman, Lorna was treasurer for the Westmorland Historical Society and Friends of Aleisha Fund, she was a member of the Dorchester Fire Department Auxiliary, the Dorchester Lioness Club, the Dorchester First United Baptist Church. She was an active volunteer with Pathfinders and the Access Center, as well as various other committees and events throughout her community and surrounding areas. Lorna was recently recognized for her efforts when presented with the New Brunswick Day Merit Award for Community Volunteer Work. She will be sadly missed by her husband Greg, Dorchester; a sister Lori (Danny) Patterson of Sackville; her father and mother-in-law Ernest and Janet Partridge, Dorchester; brother-in-law Andrew (Marilyn), Dorchester; five sister-in-laws, Joanne (David), Sumner, Hamilton, ON, Bonnie (Lloyd) Bachinsky, Edmonton, AB, Cheryl (Stephen) Estabrooks, Sackville and Donna (Raymond) Cormier of Dorchester, Maryann Wells, Dorchester. Forever loved and missed by nieces and nephews, Chris, Jason, Christopher, Benjamin, Jeremy, Kelly, Jessie, Michael, Allyson, Daryl, Jonathan, Amy, Cassandra, Travis, Jennifer, Sasha, Joshua and Zachary, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by brother-in-laws Jeffrey and Robert. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, N.B. (506-364-1300) where visiting hours took place on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Main Street Baptist Church, Rev. Terry Branscombe officiating. Burial will follow in the Dorchester Cemetery.
