
Matthew Elliott Landry
Matthew Elliott Landry, age 27, of Halifax and Amherst passed away in Halifax. Born in Amherst, he was the son of Debra (Elliott) Landry and the late Robert F. Landry. Matthew was a true musical entertainer who enjoyed performing for his friends and could often be found at an open mic. He loved composing his own music and lyrics. Matthew charmed everyone with his humor and wit. He loved spending time at the cottage in Lorneville. Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Gregory (Tammy Jo) of Dorchester, N.B.; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Bonita Elliott of Fenwick; nieces, Emma and Alex; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, Matthew was predeceased by a brother Jimmy; paternal grandparents Robert W. and Pauline Landry; and his maternal grandmother Ethel (Tower) Rideout. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Mr. David Hunt officiating.
