(1952-2008). On Monday, September 8, 2008, Nick passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family. In his brief struggle with cancer, Nick showed courage and typical good humor. Predeceased by his parents Mary and John McCormack, brother George, sister Peggy, father-in-law Patrick Spry and brother-in-law Dion Spry. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife Debbie; daughter Jennifer (Ryan); brother Jack (Patsy); sister Marie (Joe Gough); mother-in-law Frances Spry; sister-in-law Trisha Spry (Glenny); brothers-in-law: Junior Spry (Bernice), Danny Spry (Darlene) and Denis Veronneau (Johanne). Also leaving nieces: Jackie (Cordell), Nicole (Jody), Jodine (Scott), Karine and nephews: Justin (Krista), Adam, Patrick, Daniel, and their families and a large number of other relatives and friends, especially his longtime friends from Trepassey, and his buddies at the Coast Guard where Nick worked for 35 years. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 10th, 4-9 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 11th, 2-9 p.m. Funeral at Teresa's Parish, Mundy Pond on Friday, September 12th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
