Annie Irene (Ellis) Goodwin Amherst - Annie Irene (Ellis) Goodwin, 78 years of age, of Amherst, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Bridgewater she was a daughter of the late Edmond & Florence (Whynot) Ellis. Annie was a dedicated and loving Housewife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grand Mother. She loved to read, play bingo, spending time with her family and going for long drives out in the country. Annie loved to travel. Above all else, her one true passion was her family, and her pets. She is survived by daughters, Geraldine Sperry of Amherst, Melinda Goodwin of Amherst, Susan McNally (Mike) of Amherst, Jennifer Goodwin (Steven DeLong) of Amherst; sons, Wallace "Buzz" Goodwin (Jennifer) of Lower Sackville, David Goodwin ( Anne) of MacKenzie, B.C., James "Tony" Goodwin (Ruthanne) of Amherst, 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Wallace, a daughter, Marjorie and one son, Roger in infancy. The family will receive visitors at Furlong-Jones Chapel (667-8777) on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from the Chapel on Friday, November 2 at 11 a.m. with Captain Jamie Hillier officiating.
