Beulah "Boo" Lewis, age 73, of Lower River Hebert, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Born in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late Ellswoth and Annabelle (Whitewood) Quinn. "Boo" was formerly employed with Premdor. She was an avid Bingo player and she loved her garden which produced in abundance and was cheerfully shared with all. A lover of nature she always looked after the birds. Fondly known by all as "Boo", she will be sadly missed by 3 sisters, Phyllis Betts, River Hebert, Mary (Eleanor) O'Brien, River Hebert and Doreen (Clarence) Lewis, next door neighbour; a brother, James (Hestel) Quinn, River Hebert; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Aaron in 1988, 2 sisters, Elsie and Gertie and a brother, Donald. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the River Hebert and Joggins Community Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert (251-2877), from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., Pastor Clarence Clarke officiating, Burial in the Lower River Hebert Cemetery. Reception to follow at the St. Paul the Apostle Parish Hall. The family of "Boo" Lewis received friends and relatives at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
