Eldon E. Falkenham, 61, of Boars Back, Cumberland County passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at home. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of Dora (DeWitt) Fuller, Parrsboro and the late Sidney Falkenham. He was a retired construction worker having operated his own business earlier in his life, and later with various private companies. He was a member of Minas Lodge, Parrsboro and King Edward Lodge, River Hebert. As well, he was a member of Legion Branch #45, Parrsboro. He was the district representative for the Parrsboro AA Group. He is survived by his wife, the former Laura Rector; a daughter, Sidnee, at home; a son, Nicholas, at home; step daughters, Tanya Simmonds, Summerside, PEI; Michelle Simmonds, Amherst; Rhonda Willigar, Truro; step son, Shawn (Cathy), Truro; a sister, Laurine Smith (Gordon), Wetaskiwin, Alta.; 6 step grandchildren, Kenisha, Shenya, Alicia, Codey, Christopher, Shawn; a step great-granddaughter, Madison; a niece, Janice and a nephew, Greg. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
