Florence Tennant PARRSBORO - Florence Tennant, age 75, of Parrsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Marguerite (Sherriff) Rector. A wonderful, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by four daughters, Shirley (Grant) Faulkner, Hantsport, N.S., Juanita Kelly, Oakville, Ont., Christine Tennant, Edmonton, Alta., and Donna Tennant, Parrsboro; three sons, Larry , Red Deer, Alta., Robert, Brantford, Ont. and Brian (Barbara), Parrsboro, N.S.; one sister, Kathleen (Charlie) Kyle, Warren, N.S.; five brothers, Donald (Irmgard), Hanover, Germany, Utley (Zenith), Parrsboro, N.S., Clifford (Joyce), Debert, N.S., Timmy, Amherst and Jimmy (J.J.), Newmarket, Ont.; a step-sister, Louella Murray, Moncton, N.B.; 13 grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Stephen, Jessie, Beth, Patrick, Shane, Shawna, Sean, Ashley, Eric, Tylor, Madison; three great grandchildren, and a special friend, Joyce Collins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol, two sisters, Frances and Gussie and two step-brothers, Ross and Ernest. The remains have been cremated under the care of the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst. A family graveside service was held at the West Brook Cemetery, West Brook, N.S.
