The death of George A. Embree, age 65, of Moncton, occurred suddenly on Friday, January 9, 2009. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ethel Embree. George is survived by 2 sons, George (Michelle) and Willie (Tabatha), and by 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Lloyd) and Rhonda (Jason) Bennett, all of Springhill; 10 grandchildren and his ex-wife Rowena (Arthur) Allen, Springhill. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tiffany Embree. George's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Church St., Amherst (667-8777) from where the funeral service were held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 11 a.m., Rev. Steve Longmoore officiating. A time of visitation was held at the Furlong Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in the Baxter Cemetery. www.furlongjones.ca
