The death of James "Jim" St. Peter, age 83, of Maccan, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Born in Maccan, he was a son of the late Leo and Gertrude (Wood) St. Peter. Jim loved to skate, he was very handy and a marvellous wood worker. He loved to drive, have picnics with his family. He will be missed by all his friends at the A&W where he had his morning coffee. He will be sadly missed by his two sons Bruce (Cathy), Maccan, Laurie (Gloria), Cambridge, ON; daughter Trudy (Corey) Burbine, River Hebert; two grandchildren, Cassie and April; sister Bonnie (George) Bureaux, Amherst; sister-in-law, Bernice St. Peter, Maccan, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alma; brother, Edward; sisters, Jeanette and Pauline. Arrangements were entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777) where visiting hours took place on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service was held from the Furlong~Jones Chapel on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 11 am.
