Janet Rita Burke AMHERST - Janet Rita Burke age 64, of Amherst passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at home. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Neva (Chapman) Bourque. Janet worked as a care worker at Victoria Manor, Gables Lodge and White Birches Amherst. She loved animals and especially cats and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. She will be sadly missed by her many friends. Janet is survived by her son Kevin (Judy) of Amherst, three grandchildren Jacob, Ethan and Lily, cousins Eddie (Marilyn) Dupuis of Amherst and Carol Gill of Dartmouth, her aunts Julie Burke of Amherst, Corrine Burke Barrett of Dartmouth, her uncle Claude Burke of Amherst and her friend Doreen Higgins. She was predeceased by one brother Wendell Chapman, nephew Brian. Visitation was held on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Funeral service was on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Deacon Howard Gotell officiating. Interment took place in the Head Of Amherst Cemetery.
