John Nuttall, age 50, of Amherst, passed away suddenly while participating in a hockey game, one of his life passions, on Sunday Evening, October 12, 2008, at the Amherst Arena. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the Late Roland Nuttall and Madelyn (Coates) Comeau. John was an avid outdoorsman, focusing in the past several years on golf and boating. He was passionate about his job, having worked at the Department of Natural Resources for over 22 years. Family and Friends were very important to John, he adored his wife and sons, and was very loyal to his friends. In addition to his mother Madelyn (Ed) Comeau, West Amherst, he will be deeply missed by his wife Beth of West Amherst; sons, Craig, St. John's, NL, Brett, at home; brother, Stuart (Kim), Chignecto; sister Karen (Harry) Evans, Fredericton, several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 68 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church, Amherst, on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 2 p.m., Rev. Charlotte Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Christ Church Cemetery.
