Kenneth Sisson, age 85, formerly of Truemanville, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter Jane and Gordon Jorgensen, Wallace Bay on Sunday, October 26, 2008 following a lengthy illness Born in Newcastle, NB, he was a son of the late Sherman and Jane (Leake) Sisson. An accountant and businessman Ken gave of himself to various positions including the Bank of Nova Scotia, D.A. Casey Ltd and the Highland View Regional Hospital, where he enjoyed the position of Assistant Administrator for many years. He was a member of the Amherst Historical Society, Fort Lawrence Heritage Association and the Wells Foundation. A photographer, he was a founding member of the Amherst Photo Club. Over the years he contributed his expertise to the Truemanville Cemetery Committee and the Fire Dept. After retirement he taught himself computer technology and was able to do impressive computer graphics design and photography. He will be remembered for the open houses he held to display his miniature scenes. Ken will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his daughters, Barbara (Phillip) Baxter and Jane (Gordon) Jorgensen; grandchildren, Tanya, Roxanne, Kenneth and Isaac; great granddaughter, Brittany; a sister, Joan Mabee; nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by wives, Isabel and Julia. Ken's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst, from where a time of visitation was held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service to be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2 p.m., Rev. Marilyn Lamb officiating. Burial in the Truemanville Cemetery.
