Marie H. Adams SOUTHAMPTON - Marie H. Adams, 82, of Southampton, Cumberland County passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Allison and Lavenia (Rector) Rector. Marie's main interest was with her family where she was a faithful and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Preston Arents, Cornwall, Ont.; granddaughter, Brenda Lee Arents, Halifax; grandsons, Mark Arents (Diane), Alberta; Michael Arents, Halifax; a great granddaughter, Katheryn Arents; great grandson, Nicholas Arents; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Arents in 1962; second husband, Gerald Adams in 2005; a sister, Helen; brothers, Hedley, Louis, Garnet; Sidney and Hanson in infancy. Visitation took place 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service was held 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, with Rev. David Lloyd-Pearce officiating.
