Richard H. Lamb, 78, of Diligent River, Cumberland County passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at home. Born in Saugus, Mass., he was a son of the late Harry and Grace (Hedder) Lamb. He served 25 years in Canadian Armed Forces with the Corp. of Engineers. Following his retirement, he was employed with C.E. Harrison & Son for many years. He was a long serving member with the Parrsboro Lions Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Evelyn Yorke; daughter, Nancy McPhee (Scott), Parrsboro; son, Douglas (Terry Walls), Moncton; brothers, Phillip (Hillary), Stanley (Carol), all of Toronto; Brendan (Corinne), Delta, B.C.; two grandsons, Greg McPhee (Stephanie Ogilvie) and Daniel Lamb; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Derrick; brother, Donald. A private family service will take place in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fox River. Burial in the church cemetery.
