On Sunday, September 14, 2008, Viola Doucette, age 79, of Springhill, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Nash Creek, NB, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Godin. Viola was a loving and caring person, dedicated to her family. She led a quiet and private life. She is survived by her son Thomas Doucette, Scarborough, Ont.; grandson Patrick and step grandson Jeffery; 2 sisters, Bernice and Emma, both in Toronto; 2 brothers Lionel, Fredericton and Sylveste, Jacquet River, N.B. She will be sadly missed by her family and her daughter-in-law Bev Dou-cette of River Hebert; Bev's grandchildren, Justina Morris and Joshua Wood. She was predeceased by a son Donnie in 2006. Viola's arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, N.S. (902-667-8777).
