POWER, Patrick Michael –Passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness in the presence of his loving family, Patrick Michael Power, aged 79 years (May 9, 1929 - April 2, 2009). Predeceased by his darling wife of 56 years, Mary (Chafe) (2007), infant son Donnie (1956), his parents James and Annie (Dunn) (1982), sister Mary Reddy (1957) and brother Edward (2003). Leaving to mourn with wonderful and loving memories, his seven children, Mike (Isabel), Edmonton; Patsy (Dave Prior), Edmonton; Judi Levesque, St. John’s; Donna (Chris Henley), Mount Pearl; Bettyann (Rob Field), Halifax; Debbie (Eddie Field), Torbay; Jimmy (Tara), Edmonton; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Bernice Tapper-Tulk (Len); also his brother, Jim (Vick) and sisters, Theresa Whitten, Gladys Stamp, Kay Newhook (Al), all of St. John’s and a close circle of family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 6th, at 12 noon from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Cremation to follow.
