It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Frederick Wilson Musgrave, 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, Fred was the son of the late Phillip and Kathleen (Sullivan) Musgrave.
He was employed as a stevedore with Marine Atlantic for 33 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah (Harris) Musgrave; his four children, Kathleen Musgrave (Al), Karen Musgrave (Wayne), Jimmy (Agnes) Musgrave, Phillip (Mary) Musgrave; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Kelsey, Ryan, Ashley, P.J., Steven and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Kevin, Dominick; his brothers and sisters, Lillian Jollimore, John ‘Cam’ (Marge) Musgrave, Cathy (Gilbert) Matthews, Linda (Dennis) Young, Robert (Laurie) Musgrave, Mary (Mike) Spooney, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Bill Musgrave.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service for Fred will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, with Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
